Ideas are everywhere

The one thing I have seen businesses do is understand the level of information that they can share about their business. This is a case of being to close to the work and not able to see the benefit of the services being offered. The truth is that you do not know when you service will be of value to an existing client or potential clients. This is one of the benefits of making your information available on the Internet for your potential customers to find.

Here is an example, I have a customer that sells media paraphelia for fraternities and sororities. He feels that his message is only limited to those in his circle. But the question remains is how many people is he able to reach outside of his circle because the audience that has not been identified is his potential customers that are actively searching for his products and services. This is an unaddressed segment that does not need his attention but need to be aware that his media materials are available for purchase. This online marketplace is a sales channel that needs to be mastered to capture those customers who prefer to do business in this arena.

What Services Do You Offer?

If you are looking for items to talk about, you can start with the services you offer. Make sure to go into painful detail on the services offered and how they benefit your customers. This is of special benefit, especially for your local customers who may be unaware of exactly how close you are. Imagine having an answer to a problem in your backyard and not being aware that there is a solution provider within striking distance. This is the power of the Internet and it is very easy for you to take advantage of it by simply talking about things you already do.

How Was Your Day Today?

This sounds like a simple enough question but answering this question offers you a way to connect with your customers in a way that you believed was not possible. An example is that you were running late to an appointment and you had to contact your customer to advise them of the change in your schedule. This example does not seem like much but how many customer would be moved to know that you care about being late and have to reschedule to accomage their needs. You could just have struck a chord that forms a closer connection to your existing customer or a potential customer. These small consistent steps will provide you with a social media presence that allows you to form genuine connections every before your potential customers has sent you an email or made a call.

Are You Leaving Money On The Table?

The short answer is yes. Social media should be considered a sales channel and you need to take advantage of that channel to increase your sales. The major upside is that this channel is working for your 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
